2009 Formula One team logos

2009-f1-team-logos

The 2009 F1 grid has been finalized and here are the logos of all 10 teams that will participate in 2009 Formula One Championship. Compared to 2008 F1 team logos there are of course missing those of Super Aguri and Honda Racing while Brawn GP is the new addition. There is also change in Force India logo. The capital “I” that resembled the digit “1″ was replaced by “i” making the logo more Ecclestone friendly.

I like the simple BMW Sauber and AT&T Williams logos but I also like the style of the logos of Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso. If I were to rank the worst three I would go for ING Renault (sponsor logo interferes with the team logo too much), Force India (too “heavy” on the left side, unbalanced) and Brawn GP (they probably have other priorities now than to bother with logo design). What do you think about the 2009 F1 team logos ?

    fun post!
it seems that some temas have made small updates to their logo, such as renault. less round this year. concering the brawn logo i really hope this is an interim logo and that they will do something about it. just hopeless as it is now..

I think the BMW Sauber, McLaren and Williams logos are great, although I would have like to see the McLaren “arrow” in the logo too. I do like the simplicity.

On the other hand I think that the Renault and Ferrari logos are heavy and cumbersome. You would have imagined they could do better.

I would say the best looking is the Williams one. Well balanced.

Ferrari and Renault are both way too big and daggy, putting larger emphasis on sponsors or symbols rather than a simple statement.

I do like the BMW, and McLaren one as it is a simple statment of sponsor/team and looks neat.

Red Bull Racings symbol is probably the best balanced image of sponsor and team, though it helps that the sponsor is the team name!

As simple as Brawn GP is, and as said by F1Wolf, surely have higher priorities, it still looks nicer than the Renault logo.

I do like the Toyota one, its symbol does look good and matches the logo nicely.

    My rank is 1.Williams, 2.BMW, 3.McLaren, 4.Red Bull, 5.Toyota, 6.Torro Rosso, 7.Force India, 8.Ferrari, 9.Brawn GP, 10.Renault.
