Posted on December 07, 2008 by F1Wolf
Honda is out of Formula 1, here is their latest Formula 1 odyssey in pictures, from end of Tyrrell to end of Honda:
1998 – British American Tobacco buys Tyrrell

1999 – Tyrrell renamed to BAR and enters with the schizophrenic Lucky Strike / 555 livery

2000 – Honda enters the picture as an engine supplier for BAR

2001 – Two podium finishes for Jacques Villeneuve

2002 – David Richards takes over from Craig Pollock as team boss

2003 – Jenson Button arrives, Villeneuve replaced by Sato before last race of the season

2004 – The best ever year – team finished 2nd in constructors championship, Jenson Button 3rd in drivers championship.

2005 – David Richards replaced by Nick Fry. BAR excluded from 2 races following the fuel tank cheating issues, no points scored for half of the season.

2006 – Honda takes full control of the team, BAR becomes Honda Racing F1. Jenson Button wins Hungarian GP.

2007 – BAT departs, Honda embarks on saving the Earth. The car turns out to be an uncopetitive dog.

2008 – Honda brings Ross Brawn in. They continue dreaming the Earth dreams but fail to come up with a decent car. The team sacrificed the season focusing on 2009 car. But then came December 5, 2008 and Mr. Takeo Fukui shocked the world by pulling the plug on Honda’s latest Formula 1 adventure.

it is ugly but better than the 2007 livery and better than 2008 team uniforms
I think it is not tat simple to measure how Honda did for mother Earth in 2008, it is not something that can be measured. but I would think they did more than for example GM
