Formula 1 – 1998 Liveries

Here come the liveries of 1998 Formula 1 season, the next part of the F1 Liveries History series of posts. The look of the 1998 grid was quite similar to season 1999. The biggest difference – Tyrrell was yet to turn into BAR, Arrows was yet to turn orange and Minardi had more Williams like look than Williams car itself :-) .  I must say the cars looked quite neat back then although that front wing and long nose on Prost is a bit funny. And that Jordan rocked …

Season 1998 was also the season when the grooved tyres arrived

Ah, Stewart-Ford. I always liked their livery, with the tartan ribbon wrapping itself around the car.

Nice round-up, once again Milos. These livery posts are certainly bringing back memories!

  2. I like:

    Black Arrows – very cool
Yellow & black Jordan – classic combination

    I don’t like:

    Red Williams -Erm, no.

Also, isn’t the nose on the Prost huge? The car, I mean…
