Rubens Barrichello, 2008 Brazilian GP
David Coulthard came to Brazil with differently looking car, the home drivers Nelson Piquet and Rubens Barrichello are sporting different look helmets.
Nelson Piquet’s 2008 Brazilian GP helmet special includes the Brazilian national flag, design that obviously celebrates first home Formula 1 race for Piquet.
Rubens Barrichello’s 2008 Brazilian GP helmet special design honours a man who gave him his first ever racing helmet – Barrichellos family friend Ingo Hoffman. Hoffman is a Brazilian Stock Car racing legend and also raced for Fittipaldi F1 team back in 1976 and 1977.
Both Piquet and Barrichello probably hope that unlike in Coulthard’s case their special Brazilian GP designs will not also mark the final Formula 1 races of their careers …
