The European season starts with Spanish GP in Barcelona. There are reports that both qualifying and the race may not be entirely dry. Most of the teams will come with updated cars and we may see some changes in the order (or we may not) … There are however no changes or updates in the prediction game rules:

Klokan and Fisheye - two F1Wolf readers and participants in the prediction game here at F1Wolf - made it to the Far East for some trade fairs. We went to see one fair in Macau yesterday, yes that Macau of Macau GP. The trade fair ended up being more boring than some the F1 races can be. And as there is still over half a year to go to the 55th Macau GP the guys decided to go for something a bit more exciting - bungee jump off the Macau Tower. I decided to stay down with my camera :-) and watch :

The third race of the 2008 season is here - the sandy Bahrain Grand Prix. Unlike in Malaysia there is not much threat of rain this time. But the slippery dusty sandy track may cause few drivers some problems. Those who think of Massa as a race winner here again may want to reconsider
.Some people missed out on round one, some missed out on round two. But the season is long and unpredictable (at least it looks like it now), so there may still be a chance to recover the lost ground. It may not wise though to miss too many more races …
So place your predictions in the comments below this post:
- Top eight finishers in the race
- Pole position
- Fastest lap

The second race of the 2008 season is here - the circus moves to Malaysia this weekend. The weather forecasts suggest the weather may not be all sunny during the weekend. This is not going to make the predictions any easier
Few people missed out on round one but with 17 rounds still to go there still may be a chance to collect enough points to fight for the win. All one needs is few results like our round 1 winner
So place your predictions in the comments below this post:
Top eight finishers in the race
Pole position
Fastest lap

Congratulations to Steve. This looks like a very deserved win, Steve was the only person expecting Heikki Kovalainen to clock the fastest lap ! The new 2008 bright orange Lewis Hamilton cap is ready. Please get in touch with me so I can send you the cap. I may however only be able to send it out after Easter as first I need to get back from Australia
.
I apologize for a mistake in points calculation, all the scores were supposed to be 2 points higher than originally listed out. All corrected now.

The first racing weekend of 2008 season is finally here. This also means we have here round 1 of the 2008 Prediction Game. MUMM (3 bottles) is waiting for the winner of the Season 2.
Simply leave a comment below this post with your prediction of the top eight drivers (in the order from 1st to 8th), plus your prediction for the pole position and the fastest lap of the race.
Only predictions placed before start of the qualifying will count.
Click here for the summary of the rules.
Do not leave your predictions for the very last moment…
Since December you had opportunity to make your prediction for the 2008 Champion and to get a chance for 25 bonus points. The voting is now over. However, as I am in Australia at the moment, in case you are in a time zone that still reads March 13, I will still accept the entry. To see the current status click here and check the comments.

The time goes fast. I still remember the final race of the 2007 season back in October. Bunch of us who played the game for the entire season (or bigger part of it) happened to be in Hong Kong that time (pure coincidence but it was probably meant to be
). We had a blast of an late evening, beer destroyed one laptop, Hamilton destroyed his chances for title, fatfish walked away with a bottle of MUMM, rest of us left with major headache.
Now it is time to begin again. The game actually started back in December with 2008 Driver Champion predictions. It is not too late to join, the cut off date is March 13, 2008.
You can join the game anytime after that as well by simply predicting the results of any race. But remember that the correct title winner prediction ads 25 points to the final points tally at the end of the season. So if you haven’t done so yet, make your prediction for the 2008 Formula 1 Driver Champion click here. If you have made your prediction but changed your mind, you can make a new one anytime on or before the cut off date March 13, 2008.

To see the game rules click here. Here is a quick summary of the rules:
- Latest on Thursday before every race there will be sticky post for the current round of the game.
- Make your prediction in the comments below that post anytime before start of the qualifying session on Saturday
- Predict the Pole position, Top eight in the race (in order you think they will finish the race) and the fastest lap
- And then enjoy the race
What are we playing for ?
First, there is the iPod nano that nobody qualified for yet. If nobody qualifies by March 13, then I will give it to the the winner of stage 1 - leader of the game after race 6.
The winner of the Australian GP round will receive a 2008 cap of the race winner (if it will be available in Melbourne). In case the winning driver’s cap will not be on sale in Melbourne yet, I will choose some other driver’s cap
.
When it comes to the overall winner, I will stay with the MUMM tradition and reward the winner with 3 bottles of MUMM champagne. At the end, it is just the game and we play for fun, not for prizes right
? I should be able to deliver the champagne to most places where I see the entries coming from. Just in case the delivery will prove to be impossible for whatever reason, I will drink the MUMM myself and work out suitable alternative prize with the winner
.
I will however add few more prizes for winners of selected rounds of the game during the course of the 2008 season.
Do not miss out on the fun, join now. And remember - the biggest change in the rules from last year - the predictions must be made BEFORE THE QUALIFYING not before the race as last year.

It is just about a month to go and I am going to be silly enough to predict the team’s pecking order for 2008 season
. The prediction comes with a preview of all 2008 liveries, as we know them now. Super Aguri is yet to display anything on or off the track…
1) Ferrari - Kimi is having a blast

2) McLaren - They are up there, but they do not have Kimi

3) Renault - The six tenths guy will make a difference

4) BMW - May be closer to Ferrari and McLaren on performance but Renault will re-enter the picture

5) Williams - More competitive than in 2007 but so will be others

Above is the winter livery. Williams will only reveal their racing one before the Aussie GP, but here is a sneak peak.
6) Red Bull - Solid midfielders with a shot at the podium once or twice

7) Toyota - The best of the Japanese brands on the grid (Bridgestone does not count
)

8 ) Honda - Will start a further down but will gain few places during the season

9) Toro Rosso - They may have few decent finishes, but their points will not be good for better than 9th

10) Force India - They will be much more competitive than Spyker last year, but 10th will about as much as they can hope for. They would however score some points.

11) Super Aguri - They will probably survive the season despite Mosley’s worries, but at the back of the order and likely without any points.
Feel free to disagree and leave your order in the comments
. And do not forget to join the 2008 Prediction Game !
