After almost 4 years the wolf is tired and needs a break. The motivation is no longer there. With that also is gone the willingness to voluntarily sacrifice all the time needed to keep the site going. Even that bare minimum of time the wolf devoted to the site in 2010 … So, after a […]
The senior figures representing all 10 (yes, all ten, including yet to be named team) current F1 team revealed today at press conference in Geneva the ideas for F1 future that the The Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) came up with. Before I mention any of the FOTA proposals here is the first from the Key Findings Of Global Audience Survey also conducted by FOTA:
Renault’s chief operating officer Patrick Pelata issued at the Geneva Motor Show a direct threat to quit F1 if the teams do not get bigger share of the revenue and the cost are not reduced beyond the cost saving measures agreed recently by FIA and FOTA:
“We are seeking to bring down contract costs and receive more of the revenues. We want to remain part of the emotion and the spectacle of Formula One but there are really no taboos if talks fail.”
Will Bernie Ecclestone take a note and back down or will it take another manufacturer following Honda and pulling out before something changes in the way the revenues are shared ?

The start of the 2009 Formula One season is getting closer and closer and so it is time to kick off our little prediction game too. The rules are very similar to last year but there will be two small but significant changes compared to 2008 game.
A week after images of FW31 were released by one of William’s sponsors the team put their final version of 2009 livery on display. The livery is almost identical dark blue and white as that that we could see on Allianz website last weekwith most of the advertising space going to RBS and Philips.
GrandPrix.com now claims that “multiple sources” are confirming their reports that the management buyout of Honda Racing F1 has now been agreed and that Ross Brawn and Nick Fry will run the team, using Meredes Benz engines, Honda money – plus the money that comes from TV income, plus whatever sponsorship can be found. Jenson […]
The return of slick tyres called for different ways of marking the tyres as there are no longer any grooves that can be painted white. Bridgestone decided to paint bands on the edges of the softer tyres sidewalls. They chose to paint those bands in green. They could have chosen any colour or give any […]
One month to go ! Time to recap what happened in last few days. BMW Sauber, Toyota and Ferrari tested in Bahrain, this time without sandstorms.
