Besides the Renault verdict the WMSC today also published the latest version of 2010 Formula One calendar (see the previous version here). Two more races than this year are planned – Canadian GP is set to return (although the contract talks are yet to be finalized) and Korean GP is to debut in October 2010. Korean GP will be part of the autumn leg of Far East races while China will keep the April spot, two weeks after Malaysian GP. The 2010 F1 season will start in Bahrain on March 14 and end in Brazil on November 14.
After almost 4 years the wolf is tired and needs a break. The motivation is no longer there. With that also is gone the willingness to voluntarily sacrifice all the time needed to keep the site going. Even that bare minimum of time the wolf devoted to the site in 2010 … So, after a […]
The World Motor Sport Council handed suspended lifetime F1 ban to Renault (suspended for 2 years), life time motor sport ban to Flavio Briatore (it appears to include driver management as well) and 5 years ban to Pat Symonds. The WMSC concluded that Fernando Alonso was not in any way involved in Renault F1’s breach of the regulations. Here is the full text of the verdict:
The Brazilian embassy in Rome is paying tribute to Ayrton Senna this weekend (September 18-20) to mark the 15th anniversary of the driver’s death during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola. Here are two videos. One introduces the event (have to click here), the other one shows what is on display:
And here it comes. ING Renault F1 Team issued statement today informing that its managing director, Flavio Briatore and its executive director of engineering, Pat Symonds, have left the team. The team also announced that it will not dispute the allegations made by the FIA concerning the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix. So, it took Piquets only about 6 weeks to get their revenge …
It will be interesting to see what effect will this have on the outcome of September 21 WMSC meeting….

Here are the results of round 13 of our prediction game. I don’t think there was a single prediction for Barrichello’s win but there were several correct predictions for Hamilton on pole and Sutil’s fastest lap. The post qualifying weights for Italian GP have been released by FIA. The drivers on the front row, Hamilton and Sutil, are the lightest ones in the field.
