It is for real – Honda goes green without sponsors

Green Honda Honda Launch 2007
RA107 in 2007 livery.

The philosophy of supporting Honda’s green direction with donations to enviromental charities through is pretty much in line with rumours that started to circulate several months ago when Simon Fuller joined the team. Not that much in line with the way the teams use their liveries to make money… Sure they are going to be different.

Last Week in F1 (February 26, 2007)

Renault left the GPMA means basically nothing but it happened.

Rumours circulated that McLaren shareholders Dennis and Ojjeh want to sell rest of their shares. Dennis or both of them may be planning to buy Prodrive F1 operation from David Richards and get the chassis and engines supplied from Benz.

However there are also rumours David Richards plans to buy Aston Martin from Ford and bring the brand to F1 when his Prodrive enters next year.

Finishing this off – Porsche does not plan to enter F1, they are happy as they are.

Formula 1 – New Honda Livery – Is This For Real ?

Will see on Monday February 26 …

Formula 1 – Bahrain Test Day 3 – P1-2 McLaren, P3-4 Ferrari

Alonso and Hamilton on top, Massa and Raikkonen over half a second behind them. This time both Honda cars running strong.

  • Bahrain Test Day 3
  • Davidson faster then both Toyotas …

Formula 1 – Bahrain Test Day 2 – BMW on top, Honda still strong

Both BMWs and McLarens in top 5 today, with Button on P3.

  • Bahrain Test Day 2
  • Toyota still can’t get it right …

Formula 1 – Bahrain Test Day 1 – Honda found some speed

On the same day when Button speaks about Honda’s lack of speed they finally get among the top cars.

  • Bahrain Test Day 1
  • Last 2 years they had started slowly and played catch up with leaders later on in the season. Will this finally be the season when they start on par with the top of the pack ?

Formula 1 – Fun At The Races

Formula 1 – German Grand Prix 2006 Hockenheim

Sunny weekend with Kimi on pole, Ferrari 1-2 finish and end of F1 career for JV … Plus some cool GP2 racing.

    Formula 1 – Shanghai Grand Prix 2006

Wet weekend, wet race with slowly drying track, and last win for Schumi.

2007 Formula 1 Drivers And Teams

Fernando Alonso – Do not like him that much, but have to give it to him. Champ twice in the Schumi era. McLaren does not look too bad so far, so he may have a shot at the third one.
Lewis Hamilton – Rookie rookie rookie … Good to see young blood in the top team.
Car – Looks great and fast as always and reliable (unlike in recent years). Should be back in fight for both championships.
