Bruno Senna Confirmed For 2007 Macau GP

Bruno Senna will return to Macau this year. He will race for his former team Double R Racing, who he raced for in British F3 in 2005 and 2006. He will have to get used to F3 car again, after a year in GP2. He is currently 7th, with one race win.

His uncle, Ayrton Senna, won the Macau GP 25 years ago, and Bruno is for sure keen to repeat his uncle’s success on the Macau track.

Formula 1 – McLaren Looses All 2007 Constructor Championship Points

First the McLaren 2007-2008 expulsion reports came out, then they were put on hold, now there is what looks like a final version:
After deliberation, the WMSC ruled that McLaren were to be stripped off their 2007 Constructors’ Championship points. On top of it comes record US$100m fine. Also their 2008 cars will be subject to examinations before racing next season. Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso will face no points-penalties and will be allowed to fight for this year’s Drivers’ Championship title.

Formula 1 – Pavel Turek On The New Evidence Against McLaren

OK, now we know, that the actual text of the email exchange between Alonso and De La Rosa was made up by an Italian journalist. But at the same time, we know, that there was some email communication between them. FIA got information about that and asked the McLaren drivers to disclose all they know. But how did FIA get the info about the email exchange in a first place?

Pavel Turek told Czech TV Nova that he believes, Alonso or people from his team, are behind all this. Later on he went on to explain his opinion for Czech server www.f1sports.cz.

Now, if you wonder, who the hell is Pavel Turek, remember, this person was a manager of McLaren at the times when it was West McLaren Mercedes, and retains very close relationship with former McLaren driver, David Coulthard. You may visit here for more details. He is still very much at home in F1 paddock…

Here is what he had to say about the email exchange (translated from F1Sports.cz):

Formula 1 – 2006 Drivers Helmets

Again we look back at colors of the F1 past. After the 2006 team liveries, here is look at what the race drivers of 2006 were wearing:

Alonso, Fisichella – Renault

Raikkonen, Montoya, De La Rosa – McLaren Mercedes

M. Schumacher, Massa – Ferrari

Formula 1 – Is Ron Dennis Loosing The Plot ?

McLaren and its boss Ron Dennis seem to be getting desperate. The sightings of Flavio Briatore visiting Dennis’ motorhome in Monza were first attributed to possible Alonso to Renault talks.

In fact it seems that these two guys were talking about Dennis’ threats to drag Renault into the spy saga story.

Formula 1 – Belgian GP – Race Preview (with Video)

Spa is back! After its absence from F1 calendar the Belgian GP and Spa-Francorchamps track return coming weekend. This will be the last European race on the 2007 season. Both drivers and fans love this track – the driver skills are of great importance here, the track layout and unpredictable weather conditions of Ardennes seldom result in a dull race…

There are several challenging corners, including the most famous of them all – Eau Rouge (well, Eau Rouge / Raidillon combination).

Formula 1 – Italian GP – Race Review

The Ferrari home race finally brought at least some racing action. The lower pit lane speed limit made 1 stop strategy feasible and eleven drivers opted for it. For some it meant shot at a point finish, for some it was only way to compete. They were all clearly helped by the safety car early on in the race and this for sure assisted some proper racing later on.

McLarens looked to have upper hand over Ferraris after all the weekend. The Ferrari case was not helped by Massa early retirement. The Maranello guys should do something about their reliability issues…
