Sebastian Vettel - The Fastest Driver on Friday in Singapore
Mark Webber was fastest in the first practice session for the 2010 Singapore GP (1:54.589) . The drivers were rather cautious in FP1 on the slowly drying damp surface. This tweet from @MauriceHamilton shows how cautious (or slow) the cars were in these conditions:
With few minutes of FP1 remaining on still-damp track; best time 1:56.2 is 10 seconds off Q2 time last year.
Michael Schumacher was second, Adrian Sutil third. Behind them Vettel, Alguersuari, Button, Liuzzi, Buemi, Kubica, Petrov, Alonso, Kobayashi, Heidfeld, Rosberg, Kovalainen, Barrichello, Hulkenberg, Hamilton, Massa, Glock, d’Ambrosio, Senna, Klien and Fauzy.
Although the cars were sliding all over the place nobody ended up in the barriers on the tricky surface.
Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber dominated the second free practice in Singapore and finished the session on top ahead of Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton. Barrichello finished in 6th place followed by Massa, Rosberg, Kubica, Schumacher, Hulkenberg, Kobayashi, Heidfeld, Petrov, Liuzzi, Sutil, Alguersuari, Buemi, Kovalainen, Glock, di Grassi, Trulli, Senna and Klien.

for those in the area…what is the weather forecast for Qualifying and Race day?
The weather forecast is for more rain on Saturday and Sunday, but obviously it is hard to predict if the track will be wet or dry during the quali and race.
if it rains this weekend, expecting the grid to be EXTREMELY mixed for the start. not just 1 or 2 out of place. the top 5 (Web, Ham, Vet, Alo, But) have pressure now. this race might see a drop out of the top 5 championship race if rain. no rain, the season goes to next race for top 5. and some were complaining at first race of season that the points allocation was not exciting.
