Third pole in a row for Mark Webber

Red Bull keeps the monopoly on pole positions this year. Mark Webber will start from pole position for the third time in a row. Lewis Hamilton managed to split the Red Bulls and will line up next to Webber on the front row. Vettel qualified 3rd, ahead of Button. Michael Schumacher will start from P5 after spinning out at Turn 8 on his final run.

Q2:
Red Bull drivers dominated also the second session, with Vettel taking P1 (1:26.729) from Webber (1:26.818). The biggest surprise of Q2 is failure of Fernando Alonso to make the cut. He will start the Turkish GP from P12. Kamui Kobayashi on the other hand made in to Q3 again.

Q1:
Sebastian Vettel (1:27.067) and Mark Webber were the fastest drivers in Q1 ahead of Button, Petrov and Rosberg. As expected all the cars from new teams were eliminated, joined by Vitantonio Liuzzi from Force India. Lotus has won the battle of the new teams while Senna in HRT outqualified di Grassi in his updated Virgin Racing car.
