Here are the results of Turkish GP round of our prediction game. Perhaps not surprisingly we did not have any correct predictions for fastest lap (Petrov). Surprisingly there weren’t that many correct predictions for Webber’s pole either. There was only one prediction with Kobayashi in top ten. The highest score of this round belongs to Mellor1 (22).

2010 Turkish GP Podium
Lewis Hamilton won his first race of 2010 season ahead of his team mate Jenson Button. Mark Webber finished 3rd after he dropped from the lead following the crash with Sebastian Vettel. (At least this time Webber finished the race, unlike the Fuji race few years back). Mercedes drivers Schumacher and Rosbrg took P4 and P5, Kubica P6, Alonso and Massa P 7 and P8 for Ferrari. Adrian Sutil scored yet more points for Force India while Kamui Kobayashi collected the maiden point for Sauber this year. Fastest lap went to Vitaly Petrov.

Nico Rosberg - The second fastest in Saturday practice
Sebastian Vettel was fastest in the final practice session, ahead of Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton. Several drivers (including Mark Webber and Lewis Hamilton) had difficulties to keep their cars on track at the mighty Turn 8. It will be interesting to see the tyre strategies in qualifying as not all drivers improved their times after switching to softer compounds …

Heikki Kovalainen moved Lotus closer to the midfield
Turkish GP weekend has started with the Friday practice. Lewis Hamilton was the quickest in the morning practice about a second ahead of his team mate Jenson Button. Sakon Yamamoto who replaced Bruno Senna in HRT for FP1 was the slowest one. Lucas do Grassi using the new Virgin chassis for the first time finished the session half a second ahead of Timo Glock. Ferrari and Red Bull clearly focused on things other than fast laps.

Here are the results of round 6 of our prediction game. Congratulations to NJM, 24 points, only one point less than Enigma’s 25 in round 1 ! We had several correct predictions for race win, fastest lap and pole position. There were also some predictions that included Sebastien Buemi in top 10. On the other hand there were quite a few predictions placing Alonso on pole, I am surprised there weren’t more last minute changes when it became clear that Alonso would not take part in qualifying.
Few predictions arrived after the deadline, I am sorry but only predictions placed before the start of qualifying count …

Mark Webber - 2010 Monaco GP Winner
Mark Webber won the 2010 Monaco GP. He also took the world championship lead. Sebastian Vettel completed 1-2 finish for Red Bull and lined up second in the championship with the same points total as Webber. Robert Kubica finished 3rd. The fourth place belongs to Felipe Massa, the fifth to Lewis Hamilton. Fernando Alonso who started from the pitlane climbed up to sixth place but lost it in the final corner to Michael Schumacher, just after the final restart of the race. The stewards decided that pass was illegal and added 20 seconds to Schumacher’s time. As a result Nico Rosberg finished 7th ahead of Force India cars of Sutil and Liuzzi. The only other cars that finished the race were two Toro Rossos with Buemi collecting his first point of the season.
There were several safety car deployments following crashes by Hulkenberg, Barrichello and the big one 3 laps from the end between Chandhok and Trulli. One more safety car was caused by loose drain cover.
