Mark Webber - 2010 Malaysian GP Qualifying

Q3 started in heavy rain. The session was red flagged with 7:17 minutes remaining and restarted about 15 minutes later. Mark Webber gambled and went out on intermediate tyres. His gamble paid of, Webber was 1.346 sec faster than Rosberg in P2. Sebastian Vettel will start from P3, Adrian Sutil will line up next to him on the second row. Great qualifying for Nico Hulkenberg (P5). Kubica (P6), Barrichello (P7), Schumacher (P8), Kobayashi (P9) and Liuzzi (P10) complete the top 10.

Hekki Kovalainen and Lotus Racing made it to Q2

Hekki Kovalainen and Lotus Racing made it to Q2

Interestingly confusing wet Q1. Fastest time went to Kubica ahead of Pedro de la Rosa. Some big names however missed out on the good track conditions at the beginning of the sessions and were eliminated – Alonso, Massa and Hamilton all out. Lotus and Virgin made it to Q2 Kovalainen and Glock … Button made it to Q2 but will not be able to take part in after getting stuck in gravel in Q1.

Drivers eliminated in Q1:

18. Jarno Trulli – Lotus – 1:52.884
19. Fernando Alonso – Ferrari – 1:53.044
20. Lewis Hamilton – McLaren – 1:53.050
21. Felipe Massa – Ferrari – 1:53.283
22. Karun Chandhok – HRT – 1:56.299

WTF is going on at Ferrari. How many times over the past couple years have they been sitting on their tails, watching the everyone else qualify…only to have the conditions worsen and they can’t get out of the round…five or six times that I recall.

I’m ******!!!!! Someone needs to get a ride home in a taxi and a final check.

Between the absolutely idiotic qualifying decisions, and that stupid automatic lollypop pit technology…Ferrari lost the 2008 championship and now is going to give up the lead in 2010.

I had thought it was Michael Schumacher making those dumb decisions over the past two years. Apparently it was someone else. He needs to go. A monkey could make better decisions.

    Did I say I was ******!!!!!
