looks like you were watching the race in the same stand as me..? Brabbham stand?? turn 1 and 2. i was on the very top standing and watching

    • F1WolfNo Gravatar says:

yes, Brabham stand, section A, I was also at the top, standing, watching and taking pictures :-)

haha, really i was also section A.
i was more in the the corner of the fence up there, to see the cars exit the straight, and go through turn 1&2!
        that’s amazing.
i was on tv for a few sec pre-qualifying.
would have been great if i knew, could have met ya.

also on another note. i was staying in the same accommodation as the torro rosso mechaics and pit guys. and also the mercedes crew. the torro rosso guys were all great people, very funny, and always said hello.

The race looked very exciting on tv with lots of action. What was your take? Now that you have seen a full weekend, what is your assessment on the teams to beat?

    • F1WolfNo Gravatar says:

In Bahrain everybody was too cautious , Australia is rarely the real indicator of teams’ form. But my take would be similar to what the majority seems to think:

Red Bull – fastest but fragile, Ferrari strong and reliable, McLaren and Mercedes on their way

then come Renault and Force India, Renault perhaps stronger than they looked

Toro Rosso behind the above six but ahead of disappointing Sauber (who would get from me the prize for the ugliest car on the grid)

Lotus the best of the new teams but Hispania would be the most impressive for me.

Virgin got the design wrong but at least the too small fuel tank would explain why the car looks so much more compact than the other 2010 cars :-)
