And in case you wonder how many people got the race win right this time the answer is 2 – Pgirish13 and brabhamburger.

2010 Australian GP – My Saturday in Melbourne – Pictures
Today was the day of the qualifying here Melbourne (and before that the final practice of course). It was cool and windy without too much sunshine but for some reason the photos were easier to take today. The rain was in the air but at the end only a little drizzle arrived before the end of qualifying. Here is selection of images I took today at the track:
2010 Australian GP – My Friday in Melbourne – Pictures
Today was the first day of F1 action in Melbourne. It started nice sunny hot, later turned cool and windy and during the second practice session the drivers could sample some light rain for the first time this season. Here is selection of pictures I took in Melbourne today (click on the thumbnails to enlarge the images). The conditions were quite tricky – first way too much light under the strong sunshine, then not too much light when the rain arrived. If you wonder why there are no images of Lewis Hamilton, Felipe Massa or Nico Rosberg the reason is simple – I had no luck focusing on their cars (in Rosberg’s case on his helmet) …
2010 Prediction Game – Round 2 – Australian GP

The 2010 F1 season continues this weekend with Australian GP. As I will be on my way to Melbourne on Thursday I am putting the prediction game post up a day earlier this time. The opening race is Bahrain was not the most exciting F1 ever, let’s hope for more fun at Albert Park this week. This race is often spiced up by racing incidents (remember 2007 when less than 8 cars actually finished the race or the massive pile up in the first corner back in 2002). And looking at the weather predictions there is even chance of some showers …

2010 Bahrain GP – Saturday Practice – Alonso fastest

Fernando Alonso - Fastest in final practice for 2010 Bahrain GP
Fernando Alonso was the fastest driver in the final practice session of the 2010 Bahrain GP weekend, second place in FP3 belongs to Nico Rosberg who was about 1.5 tenths faster than his team mate Michael Schumacher (4th fastest time in FP3).
There is one certainty already after FP3. As the HRT team failed to get Karun Chandhok’s car ready he completely missed all the practice sessions and therefore will not be able to take part in the qualifying and the race. He will have to wait for his F1 debut for another 2 weeks. That also means we still need to wait for another F1 race featuring 24 cars … or not ? – see this tweet
How will similar photo taken in Abu Dhabi look ?
The drives line up for the traditional start of the season photo (click on the photo to enlarge) yesterday in Bahrain. This year also took their cars with them. Nice picture, but how long will the cast remain unchanged ?
There were no driver changes at all in 2008 (except of course Davidson and Sato loosing ther drives when Super Aguri folded). The 2009 season was much more eventful with many changes happening in the second half of the season – here are the pictures from Melbourne and Abu Dhabi last year:
