2009 Italian GP – Qualifying – Pole for Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton on pole in Monza
Lewis Hamilton will start the Italian GP from the pole position. For the second race in a row Force India car will start from front row – P2 for Sutil. Behind them will line up Raikkonen, Kovalainen, Barrichello, Button, Liuzzi, Alonso, Vettel and Webber. Looking at the times in Q2 and Q3 it looks like Brawns and Red Bull are quite heavy on fuel.

4. Kovalainen – 1:24.845
5. Barrichello – 1:25.015
6. Button – 1:25.030

Q2:
Jenson Button finished on top in Q2 with fastest time of the weekend 1:22.955 ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Rubens Barrichello. Force India drivers Sutil and Liuzzi took P4 and P5. Both BMW cars retired with engine problems. Here are drivers eliminated in Q2:

Q1:
Kimi Raikkonen was fastest in Q1 with 1:23.349, ahead of Hamilton, Button, Barrichello and Kovalainen. This was the worst qualifying of this season with Williams, with both cars eliminated in Q1…
