
First win of the season for Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton won his first race of the season ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and Mark Webber. Jenson Button only managed 7th place, Sebastian Vettel retired. (Kimi Raikkonen will be investigated after the race for the incident after race start.) The rookie Jaime Alguersuari came home in 15th, 1 place ahead of his team mate Sebastien Buemi.
Mark Webber climbed ahead of Sebastian Vettel in the driver’s championship and cut Button’s lead to 18.5 points.

Good to see him back on top, shame Webber chose to go to the harder tyre in the second stint as he could have had a chance at second place. Bad day for Red Bull in the pits really cost them that position too.
Worse day for Button but was lucky that Vettel and Webber didn’t fully capitalise and that Hamilton has got the car working well.
Looking forward to the next races in what is so far away, a whole month, ahhh!
It’s great to see last year’s champion Lewis back on the podium. I hope this is a sign that McClaren is back up to pace again.
