A record for Jenson Button and Mercedes-Benz

mercedes-benz-formula-1-engine

This what Ross Brawn Nick Fry had to say (among other things):

“I think the other huge credit has to go to Mercedes-Benz. I don’t know if it has been observed but the engine in Jenson’s car is the first F1 engine to win three races in succession. To have an engine which is that good in terms of its performance, durability and reliability is a tribute to the guys in Stuttgart and Brixworth.”

Impressive.

Was it not Nick Fry that said it to LeeMcK of the BBC or did Ross say it too?

Oh, this quote is from Autosport, and yes, you are right, it was Nick Fry … Some time the fact that the team and team principal have the same name confuses me :-)

The first year that Mercedes supplies customer engines and they’re outperformed significantly by their customer!
    McLaren must feel pretty bad…

  3. [...] He has already become the first F1 driver to win three F1 races in a row with the same engine. [...]
