you can try justin.tv and search for Formula 1. there were some streams with fridy practice yesterday
Thanks F1W
So Happy Birthday and good luck!

Pole position to: Kimi Raikkonen
Fastest lap to: Kimi Raikkonen
1st place: Kimi Raikkonen

4th place: Nico Rosberg
5th place: Jenson Button
6th place: Mark Webber
7th place: Lewis Hamilton
8th place: Rubens Barrichello
Wish me luck!
I wish you luck. I find it a bit odd you would include both Red Bull Cars, but neither Toro Rosso.
You do know the Toro Rossos are Ferrari powered and the Red Bulls are Renault-powered right? I’m just saying. Since you seem to be another Ferrari nutcase like myself
I’ve got a lineup but I can’t bring myself to post it until I see Saturday practice results. Anybody know what the weather is doing? I’d love it to rain.
mostly cloudy at the moment
but 40% chance of rain
which probably means 10%. I was checking out some international weather site the other day and they had it at 90-95% thru sunday. Which is true, but you can never tell where the particluar cloud containing the rain is going to go. Kuala Lampur is a very large area.
Did you see that cloud yesterday? For the entire hour and a half it seemed to hover about 2 miles to the northwest.
Pole Position: Jenson Button
1st. Jenson Button
2nd. Rubens Barrichello
3rd. Kimi Räikkönen
4th. Jarno Trulli
5th. Robert Kubica
6th. Mark Webber
7th. Lewis Hamilton
8th. Fernando Alonso
Fastest Lap: Kimi Räikkönen
Questions: For Malaysia, Bridgestone is providing a “regular” soft and a “regular” hard skipping medium. Whereas in Australia it was “super” soft and medium. Correct?
#2: What do cars typically qualify on? The softest compound available? Do all cars qualify on the same tires?
#3: We know that the tires (sorry, tyres) were probably the major race-deciding factor in Australia from numerous incidents, Mainly Vettel-Alonso, Nakajima crash, Button’s win, Piquet gravel-run, etc. – so which will be the more important tire in Sepang?
#4: Is there a way to know at the beginning of the race what the teams are running (besides looking for the green-stripe on TV)?
http://www.justin.tv/dragons_bar
1) yes – hard and soft this time
2) I think for the fast laps in quali they use the softer compounds, but in Q1 the better team, confident ones go for the harder one to save the soft ones for Q3 (like Brawn in Australia)
3) hard to tell, this hard compound they never tested prior to Sepang practice, and soft compound was never before used on this track (even in its grooved guise)
4) I think you have to look for those green stripes
“like Brawn in Australia”
I don’t expect you to answer this now (it’s race time) or ever (you’ve got your sources, and I love your expertise) – but I have got to ask anyway – how did you know that, and when did you know that?
BTW – I thought Amercian/English Speedtv with David Hobbs did a pretty decent “F1 Debrief” just hours ago. I’m sure they taped it earlier, but it was, I think a very good analysis of Australia. Check it out if you can find it. In the future I’ll try and save these things and post them somehow.
The Nakajima crash and subsequent safety car situation is quite infuriating and they way they painted it, it basically sealed Button’s win. I’m sure there are differing views.
But back to Malyasia…
now I can’t recall exactly, but I think I heard that on the radio on the track in some interview before the Australian race.
Pole: Kimi
Fastest lap: Kimi
1. Kimi
2. Kubica
3. Massa
4. Rosberg
5. Button
6. Barrichello
7. Webber
8. Hamilton
have to change my guess
Pole: Rosberg
Fastest Lap: Rosberg
1. Vettel
2. Button
3. Raikkonen
4. Rosberg
5. Barichello
6. Trulli
7. Glock
8. Massa
I know, I know, I’m being a drama queen. I think you should award an extra point to anybody who posts after me and before qualifying. I really hope all the over-analysis turns around and bites me in the ass so in two weeks I can just put the drivers’ names up on a board and toss darts at them backwards while blindfolded.
Pole:Massa
FL:Rosberg
1 Massa
2 Rosberg
3 Button
4 Glock
5 Kubica
6 Hamilton
7 Alonso
8 Vettel
Wish me luck and I’ll throw a curse on you.
My predictions for Sepang results are:
Pole: Massa
FL: Rosberg
1. Massa
2. Raikonnen
3. Rosberg
4. Trulli
5. Button
6. Kubica
7. Barichello
8. Vettel
I still go for Brawn:
PP: Button
FL: Button
1. Button
2. Raikkonen
3. Rosberg
4. Webber
5. Massa
6. Trulli
7. Barrichello
8. Kubica
so are there changes to your lineup?
this is my one and only prediction for Malaysia
I’m not saying Brawn isn’t a worthy team, or that they aren’t superior in fact. I simply became convinced at the last moment that the Black Swan that Brawn was – was because of a number of issues factors. The Nakajima situation, the tire situation, and then finally the Vettel-Kubica thing.
We would view this much differently if Massa’s suspension hadn’t folded and teams played different tire strategies.
It is entirely plausible to say we could have seen
Massa
Button
Vettel
Kubica…
…
Barrichello (DNF)
Things have been turned on their head. It is too early to say. That’s my take. I’ll see you after qualifying.
PP: Button
FL: Vettel
1 Rosberg
2 Massa
3 Raikkonen
4 Button
5 Webber
6 Buemi
7 Vettel
8 Alonso
I’ve been looking closely at F1W’s formula. I haven’t quite figured it out, but I’ve got to say it has been needed for years.
like F1 rules themselves, he changes them, which is awesome.
I hope that in the next few years there will be a rule that you get 2 points for correctly placing a rookie.
Excellent choice for 6. Emotion runs high.
Is it just me, or is F1 incredibly competitive on the driver level this year? when you have guys like Buemi giving Hamilton a shot for their money, you have a great sport.
This is the greatest sport in the history of the world. Nobody gives a bleep about Tiger Woods because he kicks everybody’s ass. Beckham needed to flee to LA for “marketing.”
While Schumacher retires to the Ferrari “pit lane.”
Jesus, I love F1. Only 21 minutes til I can shutup.
