Any talks about who the teams to beat are this year? We all assume Ferrari and McLaren to be top dogs, but a lot has changed with limited aero packages and KERS. Any other teams in line to challenge?
hard to say, so far the teams did only the initial runs with their new cars and on various tracks so difficult to make any assumptions this early
No real way to pick who will be on top come race day in Melbourne.
Even with only limited testing time between now and the first race, teams will still make changes that affect how the car runs.
If you go from rumours and comments going around about who is coping the best so far, Most are saying that Mclaren are going well and that Ferrari are a little stuck with their KERS and also having a few issues with the car. Alonso has apparently complained about front end grip on the car and that it is slow out of corners. BMW have been their usual quiet self, as they seem to do every pre-season, they cruise around and never look competitve until they get to Melbourne, so who knows what they are doing. Toyota are always hard to read, though this year they have some urgency about them with the global crisis, knowing that performance is key to their budgets for following years. Williams have impressed most people with what has been marked as a very reliable car. Now lets hope that it is also a very fast and reliable car.
Again, no way are we going to know who is on top till Qualifying in Melbourne, as no one is out there at testing running around in full anger with final designs or anytihng like that just yet.
Just have to wait and see!
I really do not know what to think about… And also don’t know where to place this info…

43 days to go… And mother nature fuc… F1!!! At this stage maybe Force India will have a benefit from others lack of millage and they are still on the development of their car, for sure it’s not a big advantage… But they can still invest on the car when others are investing on trainning which they can not perform! Sandstorms, rains and everything unseen in this preseason! If they were in Barcelona, today’s conditions are 100% perfect
HAHAHA!!!
