Ferrari kicked off the launch season with presentation of their F60, Toyota followed with their TF-109 and the first week of 2009 launches ended with McLaren and their MP4-24.
During the McLaren 2009 car launch the team also announced that Ron Dennis will step down as team principal and will be replaced by Martin Whitmarsh.
Sebastien Buemi has finally been officially confirmed by Toro Rosso for 2009 becoming the first rookie for 2009 F1 season.
Earlier Max Mosley asked for yet more cost cuts and David Richards more less backed him when he ruled out a bid for Honda F1 team.
Nick Fry emeged as one of the parties interested in purchase of the Honda. Ferrari ruled out possibility of engine supply for the team formerly known as Honda. The one viable option seems to be Mercedes, however according to Norbert Haug the engines will have to be duly paid for.
Force India are yet to show us their new car, they however gave some hints how their 2009 livery might look in their 2009 Formula One calendar.
Donnington Park received their building permit. While doubts about their ability to finance the whole venture persist the work has already begun.

The 2009 Formula 1 season countdown will be back in 10 days.

I’m excited what’s comming next tomorrow
