2008 Formula 1 - The cars in March, the cars in November
We expect some big changes in the look of the Formula 1 cars in 2009 but as the season progresses the cars change even without new rules. Let’s have a look how the 2008 F1 cars looked in Melbourne and compare them with their look in Brazil:

Ferrari - Melbourne

Ferrari - Brazil

McLaren - Melbourne

McLaren - Brazil

BMW Sauber - Melbourne

BMW Sauber - Brazil

Renault - Melbourne

Renault - Brazil

Williams - Melbourne

Williams - Brazil

Red Bull - Melbourne

Red Bull - Brazil

Toyota - Melbourne

Toyota - Brazil

Toro Rosso - Melbourne

Toro Rosso - Brazil

Honda - Melbourne

Honda - Brazil

Force India - Melbourne

Force India - Brazil

Super Aguri - Melbourne
Super Aguri did not make it beyond Spanish GP …
Most of the teams added the shark fin engine covers, Red Bull added the Red Bull Cola logo, Honda those ugly dumbo ears, McLaren less ugly ears and Toro Rosso changed the whole car (from Monaco onwards).
How obsolete the Super Aguri car looks when compared with the F1 cars that raced in Brazil. And that’s more less the same chassis that Honda used in 2006 when they won their only F1 race …

I have to say I liked the look of the cars at the start of the season. This whole CFD Design stopped the aesthetics of the cars, so I am glad largely on the 2009 designs, apart from the rear wing, which looks like it should be wider
