2009 Formula 1 cars - The rear wing

There has been a lot of speculations about the look of 2009 cars. The tall and narrow rear wing that Williams ran yesterday at Jerez may be the first indication of things to come. As expected, return to early 1990s
.
It will be interesting to see if any other teams test some 2009 features during this final test of 2008 season.

Nice pic
Naka does look even aggressive!!! By the way, sponsor stickers will have to reduce their sizes considerably, Lenovo’s name almost comes out the space of the rear wing. So this will contribute to the actual crisis? I think that’s particularly nonsense, but well, here is that question.
Do that new wings fit into the cars of the actual season? Some are testing them and they may get good numbers for their data resources and analysis for the next season development. It could be that some teams decide to switch early? Maybe the development of the wings for next year is being increased and the actual ones are decreasing, would their production be a fact of thinking in such change? I do also think that it’s not likely that it happens, as they provide less stability than the lower and wider rear wings, but the finer tuning of the new wings could be an interesting spot. Anyway, somebody still should look if the minimum and maximum sizes for these components in the technical regulation suit this change.

I’m very glad that all those shapes and angles are gone next year. And it will probably take some time to get used to the new rules (i.e. new cars).
But this rear wing does look … well, not nice! I would make it 100cm wide instead of this 80cm model.
This just looks too narrow or too high…
I don’t know if there is still some angle or loophole in the new regulations for this…

this one looks weird, but it may look weird also because it is mounted on this year car - that is a combination our eyes are not used to
I am not sure if there are any loopholes in the new regulations, but I am very sure that sooner or later the teams will find some
