I was sitting in Turn 1, these were actually Turn 2 stands, my view was as you can see on the Safety Car photo above. Very happy with the seats and the view. I walked around that section and must say most of the seats at that corner, whether it was the T1, T2 or T3 grandstand were good. In T1 grandstand however I did not like too much the view from the seats too close to the pit lane end and those lower ones facing the fence .... Another great spot was the seat at the top right corner of Turn 3 grandstand

More on tis in my post I hope will be up tomorrow

From a TV viewers perspective, the course looked tight with few passing opportunities, much like Monte Carlo. Its also looked very unforgiving in that any mistake put you in a wall (I am guessing Kimi would agree).

The coverage was fantastic, and the night made the cars very easy to see. Overall it was a fantastic race with lots of passing and a new winner! I am guessing that next years cars with less aero downforce and bigger tires will be specatacular on this circuit.

That's the problem of an urban race... Grandstands are some kind of "prototype" and are really little. In real tracks grandstands use to have 2 levels or more with higher perspective and views are just over the barriers, that's the kind which are needed to follow a good race! Although, being the first time a race has taken place there, they were just guessing how it will be, and they mistaken it. It's also the problem of being brand new and host a single event in all the season! The changes aren't checked until the latest minute.

Huge result for Renault F1!! They did deserve it a lot! This year was full of bad luck besides their not so bad performance. Happy for them, they needed that for having some possibility to remain surely Alonso in their team.

Curious to hear what people thought of the race experience. We had seats in the pit grandstands right at the start line and the viewing angles were horrible. The stands were too low and we could not see anything as the racing line took the cars along the outside barrier and the stands were too low to see what was going on, and the seats were too low to be able to see into the pits. During Friday's practice session we sat for awhile at Turn 1 at the exit of the pit lane and we definitely had a better view. It was extremely disappointing to have the seats we had and not be able to see anything. We have had similar seats in Melbourne, Malaysia and Shanghai and they were all much much better. Singapore got a lot of things right, but those temp stands needs to be redone before next year's race.

I'm not sure who at Ferrari is responsible for the refueling rig, but I would be surprised if they were still around after this latest debacle. I believe this is the third time that their automatic refueling release sensor has sent Massa off at the wrong time.

The Ferrari's are clearly the class of the field. These stupid problems have cost them dearly.

Alonzo and Renault did a masterful job of managing this race. The early pit stop was a stroke of luck, although all the teams must be looking at the result. The fact is, if you pit early, and a safety car comes on track, you jump the field. Then Renault and Alonzo stayed there.
