2008 Italian F1 GP - Race Result - Sebastian Vettel wins !

Today for the first time since Shanghai 2006 the German / Italian national anthem combo played after Formula 1 race. It was not for Michael Schumacher, it was not for Ferrari. It was for Sebastian Vettel and Toro Rosso (formerly known as Minardi).
It was in November 2006, right after Sebastian Vettel was announced as 2007 BMW Sauber test driver, when I first time paid attention to this guy in Macau during the GP. It was summer 2007 when he scored his first F1 point after standing in for Robert Kubica in Indianapolis. It was in Japan last year when this guy cried last year after smashing into Mark Webber behind the safety car while perhaps set for the podium finish. It was in Shanghai 2007 where he scored his first Formula 1 points for Toro Rosso, it was also there in Shanghai where he almost crushed my hand while shaking it after the race 
.
And now this guy became the youngest ever pole position setter and youngest ever Formula 1 winner … And unlike his predecessor Fernando Alonso, in not exaclty the strongest car on te grid … What a day … Commanding performance from Vettel, no challenge from Kovalainen, great strategy for Kubica and Alonso, horrible strategy for Hamilton and Massa and was … well, nowhere, although with the fastest lap …
I wonder - When was the last time a car fitted with Ferrari customer engine won a Formula 1 race ?
If I were McLaren boos I would ask Heikki Kovalainen some serious questions about his speed. And if I were Ferrari boss, I would ask Kimi some serious questions about his race performance and pretty much everybody else on the pit wall about their planning of Massa’s first pit stop … But that I will leave for the race review tomorrow …

I didn’t say my opinion, but… DESERVED!!! The climber of the year!! Pretty good for this STR03!! And incredible good handle of Vettel on difficult race conditions
