2008 Canadian F1 GP - Friday photos and sounds
Here are few pictures and sounds from Montreal qualifying. The MP3 file can be a bit noisy, so better lower the volume before listening to those V8 engines

There was one time during tests in the International Circuit of Catalunya, then still were used V10, and I thought to let a friend hear the noise of F1 cars with a mobile phone call. My surprise was enormous, then the microphone was activated, the mobile began to vibratevery strong when the cars were passing through!! This was a Nokia 5110, such model still didn’t include vibration mode!!! What the fu…??? The high frequency from the noise of F1 cars passing by at fast speed can turn crazy microphones which aren’t designed for capture such frequencies.
Didn’t it happen to you also, when you tryed to record the sounds?
