Conflicting reports on Super Aguri future
It is inetersting how media can come out in one day with so different reports on the same topic - future of Super Aguri.
Autosport says that they were told by “high level” sources that 2 different investment deals were on table, but none got the support of both Honda and Aguri Suzuki. One of the deals was to involve British consultancy firm Magma Group and was ready to table a deal for a takeover in equity in the team. This idea was allegedly dismissed by Suzuki. Suzuki then offered to Honda bosses an alternative - a Japanese investor - but Honda did no like that idea.
Now the the German site Auto Moto und Sport also hints at the Magma Group as a potential buyer (lead by former Ford Europe boss Martin Leach). This site however reports that the deal has been reached already. Magma is supposed to take over entire 100% stake in the Super Aguri team, keep Suzuki at the helm, keep the name as it is. Takuma Sato should have his seat safe for 2008 and 2009, while Anthony Davidson for 2008 only. Under this deal Honda will remain the engine supplier and chasis “partner”. (The Google translator from German to English is not perfect, but does the job).
And what has Aguri Suzuki to say about all this (according to Autosport):
“We have got nothing new to say.”

Nelson Piquet will definetly be in the shadow of No1 driver alonso, but the main aim here is to get Junior more experience and it should be a great learning opportunity for him.
Alonso prima donna will get all the attention but just like at Mclaren if he doesn’t concentrate 100% Nelson might just snip a few races under his feet.
Good potential for a mid table finish at the end of the season for Junior
