I took a short weekend break from F1 Wolf but now I am back with the update on the 2008 Prediction Game.
As you may already know, there are few changes in the rules. The main two are:
1) You can predict the 2008 champion anytime before March 13, 2008. If you already placed your prediction you can still change it anytime and as many times as you want, as long as it is done on/before March 13, 2008.
2) Unlike in 2007, the deadline for race result predictions will not be before start of each race but before start of the qualifying. Why ? Because this year we are also predicting the pole position.
So, how does it look so far ?
Shaun – Lewis Hamilton
Fantoci – Lewis Hamilton
Chobi – Lewis Hamilton
igi – Lewis Hamilton
Eric K. Roeske – Kimi Raikkonen
Klokan – Kimi Raikkonen
blazena – Kimi Raikkonen
F1Wolf – Kimi Raikkonen
fatfish – Kimi Raikkonen
Paris – Kimi Raikkonen
zblkhwk – Kimi Raikkonen
nieuwe – Felipe Massa
alonso – Fernando Alonso
Cyberam3000 – Kimi Raikkonen
Botiking – Kimi Raikkonen
Rich – Kimi Raikkonen
Steve Robbo – Felipe Massa
Ben – Kimi Raikkonen
If I count well, there are 11 votes for Kimi, 4 for Hamilton, 2 for Massa and 1 for Alonso. Kimi is also currently leading the F1 Wolf readers poll (on the left sidebar now).
If you haven’t joined the 2008 Prediction Game yet, you can do it anytime by predicting the 2008 title winner in the comments either below this post or below the original Prediction Game post. You may of course join anytime during the course of the season, but if you join too late, you may not be able to catch up with the leaders
.

i think kimi is the only top driver with experience without the traction control thats why i think he’ll do best. also i want him to win bc he’s my favorite since 2001!
)
Can I get extra points for predicting at what track the first GP of the season will play out? : )
I think 2008 is going to be a fantastic racing season!
you can always try but I am afraid that the points for that would have to go Bernie Ecclestone. unfortunatelly he does not play here with us
I have said it over, and over, I do not believe that TC will actually be gone.
That being said, you have to like the drivers who excelled in the rain. Watch out for Alonzo, Massa, Barricello, and Kimi. If Alonzo actually gets a competitive car, I would have to say he is the favorite.
and Button probably, if Honda manages to pick up some speed
I have never been impressed with Button in rain. Last year, the Red Bull team seemed to thrive in the rain. But they will not have the car to compete at the top.
Barricello had that amazing race in Brazil when with Ferrari. Alonzo is just plain wicked fast. Kimi can drive anything. Massa seems to have the Brazilian genes for fast driving in slop.
I am too far removed to know who is truelly the best wet driver. It just makes sense that if you can drive in the slop, you can drive without TC
Button’s only race win came in rain in Hungary and his best result their horrible last year season came in the wet race in China (5th place). true he went off on lap two at Nurgurgring, but at that time it was not wet track but a swimming pool
I think Hamilton and Alonso will be fighting it out for 3rd place this year as Kimi will be second to Massa, ferrari 1 and 2 end of the year. And constructors to boot.
