As the season entered its final third, the scramble for race seats in 2008 is in full swing. And that means new rumours appearing almost every day. The one quite unexepcted is Sato related. F1 Racing printed a tiny little note “Taku to switch to Williams-Toyota?”. Apparently they heard some rumours about Sato-san escaping from Honda camp to Toyota. This is sure something we haven’t heard before. But this is not all for Williams-Toyota.

Robert Doornbos is allegedly in talks with Toyota and Williams. After his impressive Champ Car season he would like to return to F1 but he is not interested in moving to the Spyker team. This is information his manager, Christian Geistdorfer gave to Dutch magazine Formule 1 Race Report.
Next to Spyker. According to Dutch newspaper AD the Spyker Formula 1 team has signed up current GP2 driver Roldan Rodriguez for next season. (download his photo here). He would reportedly come with pretty 15 million dollar fat wallet that Spyker for sure could use. Kolles however denies he signed any drivers for 2008. Christian Klien and Narain Karthikeyan are also being linked with Spyker. We only need to wait for the weekend to see how true is the next rumour. The Spanish media believe that Pedro de la Rosa is on the cusp of a return to F1 - with newcomers Prodrive. Marca newspaper claims that de la Rosa could be confirmed by Prodrive this weekend in Istanbul. Dave Richards also confirmed that he spoke with Alex Wurz, but only as a friend. De La Rosa and Wurz re-united with McLaren power in their cars?
And finally, “Alonso will stay”, says Mercedes’ Norbert Haug in German news magazine Focus. “There is a contract. And in Hungary, without being asked, he verbally confirmed that he intends to fulfil it.” - Think what you will …
