Tomas Enge Crashed Again

It is going from bad to worse this year for the former Prost F1 driver and F3000 Champion (well he was stripped off the title after his cannabis incident). Only a week after crashing with Mika Salo in the ALMS race at Mid-Ohio (videos inside the article) and following sacking from the Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning team (after pressure from Ferrari allegedly) Tomas Enge crashed again. This time at 24 hour FIA GT race at Spa in the colors of Scuderia Ecosse. He totally wrecked his Ferrari 430 after 240 km/h smash into the barriers. Another team, another crash, another wrecked car…

Mid Ohio incident videos:

Earlier this year he was involved in a heavy accident in St.Petersburg, Florida. He was lucky to escape only with some broken ribs, shattered elbow and punctured lungs.

Here is another one of his crashes, this one from 2005 Watkins Glen IRL race with Helio Castroneves.

On a happier note, here is celebration of the podium finish at the A1 GP race in Brno.
Would be nice to see F1 drivers doing this…

Must admit that I haven’t followed Tomas Enge’s career but it does seem that he’s a bit accident-prone. It surprises me that he manages to find other teams that will take him on but for how long can that continue…?

Aston Martin Racing stood behind him after his Mid Ohio accident, but that was before he crashed their car too…
