Formula 1 - European GP - Friday Practice

Hamilton came on top but the first session is quite clear indication that BMW is serious about joining the big guys, especially at their home Grand Prix. There was not much between McLaren, Ferrari and BMW in this free practice. The gaps between the team mates may be down to different fuel loads and set ups for the practice.

The weekend started pretty well for Honda, with both cars quite comfortably in top 10. They will not feel the same in Renault garage though.
Marcus Winkelhock has lots of work to do before his first race, he was a bit too much off the pace of his team mate.Friday Practice 1 Times Here:

Kimi Raikkonen was fastest on second free practice that began on the wet track. The track dried up towards the end. Hamilton, Massa and Hamilton were not too far behind. This was very strong session for Toyota with Schumacher and Trulli 5th and 6th. Rosberg and Button also must be reasonably happy with their pace. Winkelhock continued to get along with car, but his gap to his team mate is still quite big.
