Massa returned Ferrari back on pole. But Hamilton will be right there next him on the front row. Kimi on P3, Kubica P4. Also good qualifying run for both Renaults. Alonso did not set a time in Q3 because of what looked like engine trouble … That may mean further trouble for him if he will need new engine …

McLaren made it first time to the top this weekend with Hamilton 0.06s ahead of Massa. Kimi in 3rd. Alonso only made 1 competitive lap and his time was enough for 6th. Renaults were the 3rd best team at the last practice. Rosberg again made it to top 10. The quali will be interesting. Lots of cars are on similar pace, it will be interesting to see who will make it to top 10. Also it still remains to be seen how quick Alonso really is here …

As usual nobody really knows what Friday times mean, but there must be some smiles in Ferrari garage. Both their cars are separated only by few tenths and well clear off McLarens. Williams and Red Bul managed to sneak between Alonso and Hamilton. Ferrari, McLaren, Williams and BMW had both cars in top 10. Hondas still haven’t found enough speed to jump ahead of Sato. Renault people believe they are better than BMW now, but times from P1 show a bit different story …

There is a reason to celebrate! This is the last time we will see the F1 race on this dull race track. The contract is over, there will be no race here in 2008 and I do not see Bernie bringing F1 race back here again.

There are lots of corners here, 17 in total making aero very important. The overtaking is more less impossible under normal circumstances. So the qualifying and grid positions are as important here as they are in Monaco. If we want some excitment we need rain or some safety car.Here is a Magny Cours lap with Kimi Raikkonen.

DC had the honour to be the first one to drive through the new highway tunnel and then complete 20 km ride around the Slovakian capital. He had to observe the speed limit 80 km/h inside the tunnel, but out on the streets he reached the top speed over 290 km/h.

A new highway tunnel will open in Slovakian capital Bratislava this Saturday, June 23.

One of the first passengers driving through the tunnel will be Red Bull’s David Coulthard.

According to Slovakian papers he will drive his Red Bull through the tunnel and cross the Danube river twice on 2 bridges, in total covering about 20 km. According to his former manager from McLaren, Pavel Turek, the roads are good enough for him to drive at about 300 km/h. Well, unless he will use this Red Bull 2 wheeler:

Another race, another great performance from McLaren and Lewis Hamilton. He won in Montreal fair and square. But his job was made a bit easier as his main rival had the bad luck with the safety car. Those chasing him were no match for him and he could only throw the race win away by himself. Indianapolis was totally different story.
