Formula 1 – Last Week in F1 (March 27, 2007)

Have to start with another one from Mr. Joker. Ralf is probably living on a different planet. First claiming he is one of the top 3 drivers, now being so confident that Toyota will win this year. Of course, everything is possible. Honda won last year, Fisi won in Jordan few years back. But based on what he has so much confidence in all the lucky circumstances working for them? And why then he still asks fans to remain patient?

Honda is aiming for a step forward at the start of European season. The step would have to be quite big if they want to mix it with the top teams. At least they have a record of decent improvement during the season. But why they always have to begin the season with lousy car, that is a mystery. Oh, perhaps not this year. This year they know the reason replacement of Geoff Willis with Shuhei Nakamoto as Senior Technical Director.
The Nurburgring is set to name a corner after Michael Schumacher. So, we will have ‘Schumacher S’ instead of Dunlop hairpin. We can only hope that Ralf will not come up with claim that it is his S, not Michael’s …
Renault team is surprised by the gap between themselves and BMW and McLaren. At the same time Williams people believe, they will give Renault run for their money.
Alonso believes McLaren is right there with Ferrari in qualifying pace, but have to improve race performance, as no one can keep up with Ferrari’s race pace at the moment. No wonder Kimi almost felt asleep in Australia. Please let him get hammered.
Last year we had flexible wings and mass dumpers, now we have flexible floors. Took only one race for some teams to suspect that Ferrari’s (and BMW’s) performances are result of something not 100% legal.
Davidson is fine after his jump in Melbourne.
And finally – The rumours about Michael The Schumi buying Toro Rosso just would not stop, now even Ross Brawn is in the picture.

It's very calm over here, why not leave a comment?
